Index
A published interest rate that banks use to measure
the difference between the current interest rate on
an ARM and that earned by other investments (such as
the monthly avg. interest rate on loans closed by
savings & loan institutions, 1, 3, and 5 year U.S.
Treasury Security yields, and the monthly avg.
Costs-of-Funds incurred by savings & loans), which
is then used to adjust the interest rate on an ARM
either down or up.
